Have you always wanted to learn how to build a website? Or, have you been curious about learning HTML5 & CSS3?

Then I’ve got something for you.

But first, let me give you a little background on myself:

Learning to design and build websites and web applications has been one of the most valuables skills I’ve ever learned as it has changed my life. I come from a Musical Theatre & Performance background and upon graduating from Theatre school, I realized—though, I loved performing—it wasn’t necessarily wanted I wanted to pursue full-time. Therefore, I was left with some confusion and searching to do over the next year, as I had no real direction.

After nearly a year of working a joe-job selling camping supplies, I discovered Capilano University’s Interactive Design program in North Vancouver. In two years, I went from knowing absolutely nothing about design, or building websites, thinking HTML was some cryptic mumbo-jumbo, to immersing myself in a completely new world; thriving in HTML, CSS and jQuery, becoming passionate about building websites and web applications, and learning how to develop both the front and back-end of a website (something I would have never even heard of before), among many other skills.

That was just the beginning.

I became so passionate about this path, I took the skills and ran with them—perhaps even sprinted! I loved working these “jobs” that I never even considered jobs at all; doing something I loved doing and getting paid to do it. All the while, I knew that even though I loved working for these companies, I wanted to set out on my own one day and work for myself—from home, or from anywhere—and that’s finally come after only 1.5 years out of school. I’ve been working for myself as a freelancer and absolutely love it. I wake up being thankful for these skills every single day, and I owe it to a few things:

The support from my family & friends has been an important factor in my journey as well.

Which brings me to the title of this post—learn to build a website from scratch—what’s that all about?

Well, I discovered a website called Udemy a couple months ago, and I realized that I have something valuable to share and to teach. Building websites comes second-nature to me, and HTML & CSS are essentially second-languages to me. I thought, I’d love to teach what I’ve been so passionate about and if even one person becomes as inspired as I was to take the skill and run with it, I’ve succeeded with my plan entirely.

Simply put, I’d love to teach you how to build a website from scratch, based off of a Photoshop Mockup I designed myself. The course requires a little bit of HTML / CSS / Photoshop experience, but not much at all—when I took my first Web Design tutorial, I knew about a week’s worth of HTML and was not prepared at all. However, it was that course that put me ahead, and gave me the tools I needed to start running and exceeding my own expectations in school, and professionally. Knowing some HTML / CSS / Photoshop will help you keep up, but you really don’t need to know much at all, because if you did, you probably wouldn’t need to take the course (unless you needed a refresher). I take my time to explain what I’m doing, and guide you through all the steps with primarily video-driven content.

Hours and hours of my work and effort has been poured into this course, as I want you to have fun learning a new skill that could potentially change your life (No promises! But the potential is there.) I’m not looking to toot my own horn, because I’m in no way claiming to be the best, however, I am deeply passionate about what I do, and I have a desire to share it with others who want to learn something new and amazing.

The course is called PSD to HTML5 & CSS3 and I’d love for you to sign up and give it a try. You get over 3.5 hours of content (text, image, and video), 20 lectures, guiding you through the preparation, exploring the Photoshop Mockup, coding HTML5 & CSS3, validating your code, and reviewing the final product. The cost of the course is $30, however, for the first 10 people to sign up using the Coupon Code Early Adopter, you will get the course for $10! That’s nearly 70% off the full price. I wouldn’t charge you anything if I didn’t think it was valuable enough. Plus, you get a 30-day money back guarantee and lifetime access to the course content—it’s all yours once you sign up:)

If you’re interested, please head on over to the course website and don’t forget to apply that coupon code!

Cheers and Happy Coding,

Brad Hussey
